Artstruments?

What started out as a solution to a problem evolved into so much more.  When I relocated from New York to Florida in 2018, I didn't know anyone in the local music scene - and then Covid hit shortly thereafter.  No gigging out for me anytime soon.  Or anyone else for that matter.

The problem became... What do I do with my drums?  I couldn't play them in my house without seriously annoying my new neighbors.  And selling them wasn't something I would even consider.

I've always loved the way drums look, as much as the way they sound.  I thought it was cool to see my guitarist friends hang their axes (that's guitar player jargon for guitars) on the wall when they weren't playing them.  So I said to myself "Why not do the same thing with drums?"  And Artstruments was born.  I spent the next 3 years figuring out the simplest way to do just that.  The drum would need to be easily taken off the wall to play, and put back on for display.  It needed to be easy for anyone to install, and work with almost any drum.  Happily, it accomplishes all of that.

Since I had a background in LED lighting, I again said to myself (because I talk to myself a lot...)  "Why not put lights in them?"  So I designed LED lights that could easily be installed inside the drum with no need to drill holes in the drum shell.  Fancy that.

Why store your drums away in the basement, closet, or garage?  Have an extra snare drum?  Have more than one kit?  Or are you a music fan that wants to create a cool display in your house?  Let Artstruments help you explore new dimensions of self-expression.

I truly hope you enjoy these products.  It's has been a labor of love creating them.

Cheers,

Micah
